JAMMU, June 9: The BJP State secretary, Aseem Gupta today cautioned the people against those elements creating confusion on the construction of AIIMS and Artificial lake at river Tawi.
In a statement issued here, Mr Gupta said that after the statement of Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS in PMO and Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh that AIIMS will be established at Jammu also all doubts have been cleared in this regard and people should trust the same.
He said BJP is not against the establishment of AIIMS in any other part of the State as clarified by the Deputy CM and Union Minister but before that it will also be established at Jammu so no body should have any doubt in this regard.
Gupta reiterated that BJP is committed to welfare of people of the State and the Party has right from its birth championed the cause of nationalistic people of Jammu and it stood a watch dog for peoples interests whether in Praja Parishad movement or other successive nationalist movements.
He said BJP will not let people of Jammu down and it will also not allow those who were responsible for discrimination with the region for over 60 years to hijack the issues for which BJP always took a principled stand and struggled continuously.

He however said that coalition wanted that prior to staring the construction of piers, the retaining walls on the sides of the lake should have been constructed.
Lashing out at Congress and NC he said instead of  shedding crocodile tears on AIIMS they should answer that who was responsible for sabotaging the up gradation of GMC on pattern of AIIMS whose foundation stone was laid by then Union Health Minster Sushma Swaraj in 2003 and which the coalition later converted into a  Super Specialty Hospital.
