No commission of enquiry ordered in militancy related incidents

Srinagar, June 24: Government today said it has not ordered any commission of enquiry in any militancy related incident that occurred during last two years.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Engineer Abdul Rashid in Lower House, Minister incharge Home stated that it has not set any enquiry commission but has ordered five magisterial enquiries during last two years in various militancy related activities.
As per the records maintained in the Home Department, three reports of magisterial enquiries have been received during the year 2014, four during 2015 and three during 2016. “The three enquiry reports of 2014 have been referred to the concerned departments for further action on these reports,” the Minister stated.
The Minister further stated that out of 4 enquiry reports of 2015, comments have been sought in respect of 2 enquiries from police headquarters. The other 2 enquiries have been referred to DGP/CRPF for action as per the recommendations of the enquiry officer and the enquiry reports of 2016 are under examination at various stages in the Home department, said the Minister.
