No clue of kidnapped girl

JAMMU, Sept 26: Police failed to trace a girl, who has been reportedly kidnapped 10 days back from Muthi area of the city outskirts.
The girl namely Babita Manhas, daughter of Raghbir Manhas of Ganesh Vihar, lower Muthi and a students of Part Ist of Government Women College, Parade, was kidnapped on September 17 from her residence.
Family members said that on September 17, Babita left the home to attend tuition and did not turn back, till late evening.
“We searched her in relatives and neighbours houses, but did not find her anywhere”, they added.
Failed to find her, family members lodged a complaint on September 19 with Police Station Domana alleging that Ankur Bansal, son of Pawan Bansal, resident of Kailash Nagar, Talab Tillo, was involved in her kidnapping.
When contacted, SHO Police Station Domana, said that after the complaint by family members of Babita, a case was registered under FIR number 314/ 12 under Section 366 RPC and investigation started.
On the basis of call details of Babita’s mobile phone, one person namely Ankur Bansal, son of Pawan Bansal, resident of Kailash Nagar, Talab Tillo was arrested.
“During questioning, Ankur revealed that he along with his wife met the girl and took her to Akhnoor and later dropped her near Purkhoo”, he added.
He said more suspected persons were questioned later who were in touch with the girl. The Police is near the clue and soon she will be traced” SHO added.
