No ceasefire violation on IB in past one month: BSF

 

JAMMU, Sep 18: Asserting that tight vigil is being maintained along the border, Inspector General, Border Security Force, Jammu Frontier S S Tomar today said no incident of ceasefire violation has been reported on the International Border in the past one month.

‘Though there are incidents of truce violation happening on the Line of Control but along the International Border, no violation has been reported in the past one month and borders are calm,’ Mr Tomar this evening told reporters at the sidelines of flagging off ceremony of 40 students for ‘Bharat Darshan’.

‘We are on alert and BSF is giving befitting reply to the enemy,’ he said adding that people in the bordering belts along international border are living in peace as borders are calm.

On security measures, the BSF top officer said vigil is being maintained and troops are on alert, adding that hi-tech gadgets have been put in place to track the movement of anti-nationals from across the fence.

On Winter Management strategy, the BSF IG said, “night vision cameras especially for foggy days ahead are being installed and surveillance has also been beefed up along the border.” (AGENCIES)
