KOZHIKODE (KERALA), Sept 25: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh stated here today that there is no ambiguity about BJP stand on Kashmir and said that if at all there were any doubts among any sections, these stand cleared after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public address yesterday followed by a categorical resolution on Uri attack moved by BJP President Amit Shah at party’s National Council meet today .
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the concluding session of the 3-day BJP National Council Meet here today, Dr Jitendra Singh hailed Amit Shah’s resolution on Kashmir and said it was very categorical about the status of Jammu & Kashmir as part of India and BJP Government’s policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism.
He said while Amit Shah had reiterated that Kashmir was always a part of India and will continue to be so, he had also made a very significant point that if at all there was to be any discussion or dialogue on the issue it has to be within the framework of Indian Constitution and it cannot be with those who do not acknowledge themselves as Indians.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, this is a vindication of the stand we have taken all along that those who challenge the very republic of India, should first make their own locus standi clear. The approach of having the cake and eating it too, has been followed by some people for too long and it is time to call their bluff, he added.
He also said that the morale of the security forces has received a tremendous boost because none less than the Prime Minister of India has acknowledged their contribution and expressed nation’s gratitude to the sacrifices made by them. He said that those responsible for the killing of 18 Indian Jawans during Uri attack will not be allowed to go scot-free.
In another resolution at the BJP meeting today moved by Union Minister and former BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Party and Government’s programmes in the context of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay centenary celebrations, Dr Jitendra Singh moved an amendment which was readily accepted by the President Amit Shah.
