JAMMU, June 21: President National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri has appealed the Prime Minister to expedite the process of acceptance of recommendations of Expert Committee on allowances of both Central and State Government employees and other related issues headed by Chairman Union Finance Secretary, Ashok Lavasa.
In a statement issued here, today he said as the Committee has already submitted its final study report and recommendations to Finance Minister a month ago, there is no cause for delaying the same.
Shastri who was addressing NMC workers meeting here today said since the issue could not be finalized over a series of previous Cabinet meetings, it is hoped that the same will be put up in agenda for next Cabinet meeting before the PM proceeded on his visit to US.
Shastri however lauded the efforts of Chief Minster Mehbooba Mufti for showing keen interest pertaining to regularization of over 61,000 daily rated workers working in the various departments of the State Government.
