Sir,
Planning Commission in course of time had become so domineering and exorbitantly executive in decisions rather than just being advisory. It could allocate funds for plans and schemes of Cabinet which is vividly an indignation to its principles, which was condemned by several eminent econimists and politicians.
More-ever the Centre was previleged as the lone ranger of the ship being dominant and supressive over State as the policies and plans were framed without much interruption of states.
Hence NITI AAYOG obliterates this base of contempt and privelges all sections of Government the villages, States ,UT and Centre to unanimously solicit to the national devolpment.
The plans would initiate from the lowest level and then would exaggarate to higher level and then to the centre. So the sections of society which have been left out unbenifitted from Planning Commission would definitely get their share in the new policy.
At the end of day NITI AAYOG is basically concerned with decentralisation of power and augmentation of federalism. So its a commendable endeavour by our PM but time would unveil whether this new organisation would pave up the way for devolpment or would get ensnared in the cobwebs of opposition, denouncement and confrontation.
Yours etc….
