JAMMU, Aug 1: Terming Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh as biggest security threat in the militancy plagued Jammu and Kashmir State, Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) today asked so-called “nationalist” BJP leadership to sack Dr Singh from the Council of Ministers because he is all out to demoralize security forces, fighting with Pakistan sponsored terrorism.
Addressing protesting Youth Congress activists near Press Club here today against DyCM’s remarks over killing of Burhan Wani, PYC president Pranav Shagotra regretted that Dr Nirmal Singh has tried to glorified the dreaded terrorist by stating that Burhan Wani’s killing was an accident. “One can draw conclusion from the statement of DyCM that Coalition Government wanted to give safe passage to the dreaded terrorist, who was involved in killing of number of security forces including some jawans of J&K Police”, Shagotra said and asked Central leadership of the BJP to clear stand on Burhan Wani’s killing.
Charging Deputy Chief Minister with pursuing pro-separatists and anti-India agenda just for the lust of power, PYC president said that valiant jawans of security forces including those of Jammu and Kashmir Police had worked day and night for more than three months to track down the dreaded terrorist but unfortunately Deputy Chief Minister has termed his killing as accident to keep Hurriyat and other separatist groups in good humour.
“Dr Nirmal Singh’s statement has demoralized security forces who have been fighting Pakistani sponsored proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir for the last two and half decades”, he said. Dr Singh’s utterances have strengthened hands of pro-Pakistani elements in the State.

Earlier, PYC workers held massive protest against Dr Nirmal Singh and shouting slogans they moved towards Tawi bridge and blocked traffic for sometime. The police intervened and cleared the road.
