Nine injured in two road mishaps

JAMMU, Mar 2: A total of nine persons were injured in two separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, five persons were injured when the Wagon -R car bearing registration number JK14D-3337 they were travelling in rammed into the divider of the National Highway near Panjgrian in Nagrota area of city outskirts. He said the accident occurred this afternoon when the car was on its way from Jammu to Udhampur.
All the injured persons, who were identified as Karanjeet Singh (58) son of Sant Singh, a resident of Batote (Ramban), his wife, Daljeet Kaur (45), son, Gurjout Singh (12) and Mohan Singh (70) son of Hukham Singh, a resident of Udhampur and his wife, Darshana Kaur, were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
Meanwhile, in the midnight of March 1, a Santro Car bearing registration number JK02U-1616 hit a parapet in New Plot area falling within the limits of police post Sarwal, resulting into injuries to four occupants of the car. The injured persons identified as Subhash (35) son of Shamsher Singh, his wife Rekha (28), daughter Tarisha (2) and another lady namely Neha (24) wife of Anil, all residents of RS Pura, were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
