Nine injured in road accidents

UDHAMPUR, June 15: Nine persons were injured in road accidents at different locations in the district. As per reports, five persons were injured when three vehicles collided with each other near Chenani. Locals took the injured persons to Sub District Hospital Chenani, where doctors referred all of them to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured were identified as Ravinder Sharma (53), Mamta (33) and Swati Sharma from Indore and Gulam Quader of Srinagar. Meanwhile, a woman sustained injuries after she fell from a motorcycle which skidded off the road near Amphella in Jib area. The injured, identified as Gulshan Kumari wife of Gopal Krishan of Palli was shifted to hospital and her condition was stated to be stable. In another incident, a labourer was injured after he fell from second floor of the under construction building of Military Command Hospital Udhampur. His identity was established as Anil Kumar son of Sole Singh of Chattisgarh. Four persons were injured, when the bus they were traveling in plunged into a nallah near Ser Sundwan. The ill-fated vehicle was on its way to district Reasi from Suzen Dhar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle, resulting into accident. The injured identified as driver of the vehicle Preetam Singh, son of Tara Mani, resident of Hunder, district Reasi, Kaku Ram, son of Bishan Dass of Chora Kot, district Reasi, Rashpal Singh, son of Atter Singh of Saire, Behmag, district Udhampur and Manjeet Singh, son of Krishan Lal of Batlo Kaintha, district Reasi, were shifted to District Hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in. A case has been registered and investigation started.
