Jammu, Mar 25 : One unit of Nimo-Basgo hydel project (15 MW) with proposed installed capacity of 45 MW has been commissioned on Nov 7, 2012 and is feeding load of about 12 MW of Alchi, Leh town and adjoining areas.
The information was given by the Minister of State for Power, Vikar Rasool while replying to a question of Nurboo Gialchan.
Vikar further said that the detailed project report amounting to Rs. 10.21 crore for strengthening of distribution system including upgradation of existing work (Transformer capacities) to make the system more feasible and reliable towards anticipated load demand of the district after commissioning of Nimo-Basgo hydel project is under technical process for techno economic clearance.
While replying to another question of Naresh Kumar Gupta, the Minister on behalf of Education Minister said that the upgradation of High Schools of Seeri, Dradu and Nichloo-Thara of sub-division Bhaderwah will be examined as per the feasibility and pre-determined norms set by the Union Ministry of HRD.
In another question of Davinder Singh Rana, Vikar while replying on behalf of Sports Minister said that the polo ground playing field Srinagar is being used only for carrying sports activities and it is being developed as an artificial synthetic football turf and it will be used for playing football matches only and not for any other non-sports activity.
Similarly, mini-stadium, Parade Jammu is mostly use for sports activities however, at some occasions; the stadium is used for non-sports activities like Independence Day celebrations and other rallies.
While replying to another question of Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy on behalf of the Education Minister, Vikar informed the House that 122 primary schools have been opened in Doda constituency.
He further said that 10 Middle Schools have been upgraded to the level of High Schools under RAMSA for which the staff has already been created at different levels which include 70 masters, 10 daftaries and 10 Class-IV employees.
He said the new up-gradations could be considered as per pre-determined norms, feasibility report and subject to the approval of Union Ministry of HRD.
