JAMMU, Feb 1: In the much publicized Niki Tawi violence case, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tashi Rabstan today directed the enquiry officer to file report on next date of hearing and also to the State to file a status report.
The violence had erupted when the JDA had gone to remove the illegal structures. The DB has taken suo-moto notice of the incident and appointed 2nd Additional District and Sessions Judge Jammu as enquiry officer.
“An interim report dated 28th January, 2019 has been received from Virinder Singh Bhou, 2nd Additional District and Sessions Judge, Jammu wherein further time is sought to complete the enquiry in terms of order dated 28th December, 2018”, the DB observed and directed enquiry officer to file report on next date of hearing and also directed State to file a status report.
