NIFAA starts awareness campaign ‘Samvedna’

JAMMU, Dec 13: National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA) has started “Samvedna” an International blood and plasma donation awareness campaign.
The campaign commenced with a purpose to set up 1500 blood donation camps across the country and gather 90000 units of blood on the 90th martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, on the following March 23.
Addressing a press conference here today, Pritpal Singh Pannu, National Chairman NIFAA said that apart from all three martyrs’ families this campaign is getting support from prestigious personalities of the country.
NIFAA General Secretary Parvesh Gaba, Tarun Uppal Chairperson Nirbhay Bharat Foundation, Ashok Verma Chairman J&K New Young Blood Organisation, Sanjay Chairman Ansh Foundation and Advocate Zargar Executive Director National Human Rights also spoke on the occasion.
Pannu said that apart from all three martyrs families this campaign is getting support from prestigious personalities of the country from film, social service and sports arena which include famous Bollywood singer, composer and music director Kailash Kher, well eminent Actor, Philanthropist Sonu Sood, Noted Film Actor and equestrian Randeep Hooda, world famous Indian Author, Activist and inspirational orator Shiv Khera, legend of Punjabi Singing Gurdas Maan, renowned producer director Karan Razdan, Indian Film, television and theater actor Mohan Joshi, Indian Professional footballer and member of Indian Football team from Mizoram Jeje Lapekhlua.
Pannu said that in a rare gesture and inspiration to all organizations joining hand for this blood and plasma donation drive, a certificate personally signed by all above mentioned celebrities along with Abhay Singh Sandu, Nephew of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Satyasheel Rajguru nephew of Shaheed Rajguru and Anuj Thapar grandson of Shaheed Sukhdev will be provided to all the organizations as an appreciation.
NIFAA General Secretary Parvesh Gaba said NIFAA has already discussed this mega campaign with National Blood Transfusion Council and Indian Red Cross Society at high level and both the organizations have assured guidance and support to make it a great success.
