Nickel softens on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI, July 23:  Prices eased by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today due to reduced offtake by consuming industries.
However, other base metals held steady in thin trade.
Traders reduced offtake by consuming industries kept presure on nickel prices.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4×4) shed Rs 2 to Rs 850-855 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 103-109, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 850-855, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 375, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 90, lead imported Rs 96, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148. (PTI)
