NEW DELHI, July 27: Nickel prices inched up 0.08 per cent to Rs 942.80 per kg in futures market today as participants raised bets, tracking a firm trend at spot market on rising demand from alloy-makers.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in July edged up by 80 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 942.80 per kg in a business turnover of 1,316 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in August was trading higher by 40 paise, or 0.04 per cent, to Rs 947.20 per kg in 91 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by traders on the back of soaring demand from alloy-makers in the spot markets influenced nickel prices at futures trade. (PTI)
