NEW DELHI, May 28: Amid a weak trend in the global markets and subdued domestic demand, nickel fell marginally by 0.07 per cent to Rs 825.70 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in June eased by 60 paise,, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 825.70 per kg in a business turnover of 220 lots.
The metal for delivery in May also down by 60 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 818 per kg in a turnover of 1,035 lots.
Analysts said the fall in nickel prices at futures trade was mostly in tandem with a weakening trend in the base metals at the LME on concern that slowing economic growth in China may curb demand in the world’s biggest consumer of metals. (PTI)
