JAMMU, Sept 20: The people of village Nichla are facing acute scarcity of water, as the hand pump of the village is out of order for last one month.
The locals alleged that they are totally dependent on this hand pump, as there is no other source of water in the village, which is a typical Kandi area.
But for last one month the people of the area have to travel many kilometers to bring drinking water, as the lone hand pump installed in the village has stop working.
The villagers questioned the concerned authorities about their lackadaisical attitude toward the village and demanded immediate repair of hand pump.
