JAMMU, Apr 7: Former Minister and senior Congress leader, Mohammed Sharief Niaz today termed the recent statement of Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed on the floor of the State Assembly that the transfers of the Government employees has become the industry and source of rampant corruption and the Government will bring transparency and accountability in the system, a hollow slogan.
He alleged that only a few hours after CM’s statement, Director CA&PD at the behest and instigation of some political leaders of ruling party transferred storekeeper of ration depot in Batyas and Chilli in Tehsil Bhallessa. He said that the said scandalous storekeeper’s mal practices and black deeds have been shielded by some politicians  in the past and the said storekeeper has become a good source of income for his Godfather and for the CA&PD officials from top to bottom.
He urged the CM and Minister of CA&PD to check the service record of the said scandalous storekeeper, adding if his allegations prove false he is ready to beg pardon before the Government and the public.
“Similarly, two teachers namely Mukesh Kumar and Fazal Din and a Lab Assistant, Nasib Singh of Education zone Bhalessa were transferred at the behest of some political leader for whom they did not vote in the election”, Niaz claimed.
Alleging that employees belonging to Congress family were particularly being harassed, he said lists of employees of different departments belonging to the families of Congress have been submitted to different Head of Departments for transfer as punishment.
