While addressing the protesting locals of the area Naib Sarpanch said that for the last several years, the motorable bridge on Gambhir Nallah is lying damaged and even today about thirty vehicles are stuck due to non-restoration of  this bridge. They also said that in recent rains, two school going teenager girl students had a narrow escape after they entered  the flooded Nallah and suddenly water level increased and a local vehicle driver and some army jawans showed courage and managed to rescue them.
They said for the last several months, GREF agency was assigned the task but it failed to take up the work. The people of the area have been left to suffer.  The people of the area have also suffered due to firing on LoC and this is the only road connectivity to this forward area.
After about an hour long highway blockade, the police team and revenue officials rushed to the spot and pacified the villagers with the plea that they will take up the matter with the DC Rajouri, Dipti Uppal.
Then the protesting villagers lifted dharna and allowed movement of vehicles.
