NIA team visits terror attack site

JAMMU, Dec 8: The National Investigating Agency (NIA) team headed by IGP Mukesh Singh & Rakesh Sharma, SSP today visited the site of Nagrota terror attack and took over formal investigations of the case from CID by obtaining police diary and seizures made from the site of gunbattle on November 29.
The NIA had yesterday registered a First Information Report (FIR) in Nagrota terror attack at New Delhi after the case was handed over to it by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Reports said the NIA team inspected the site of attack and had inter-action with Army and police officers. It has also taken police diary and items seized from the site of terror attack including arms, ammunition and explosive material.
Seven Army soldiers including two Majors and all three terrorists, who had attacked Army camp at Nagrota on November 29, were killed. The militants are believed to be Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) cadre and Pakistani nationals.
