RAMBAN, May 11: National Highway Sub-Contractors Union (NHSCU), Ramban Banihal urged Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) Limited to male 100 payment to all the Sub Contractors, PRW Contractors and Labour wages pending till date in the interest of project and to expedite its progress.
Addressing a press conference, President of the Union AH Mughal along with Vice Chairman Perichit Singh said that the HCC engaged in construction of four laning of Ramban to Banihal Section has deliberately and duped all the workers, contractors and labourers.
They demanded 100 per cent payment to all the sub contractors, PRW contractors and labour wages pending till date, booking of slip/landslide quantities removed during flash flood and rainy seasons since July 2016 to April 1, 2018, beyond the cut line at rates agreed and revised rates during the meeting held at Head Office Mumbai in view the MOM and provides the attested copies of M Book, ledger account and copy of GST returns filed by the HCC as it evident from GST portal to enable all sub contractors to file the GST Returns.
They also demanded effect of revised rates/idle charges of men and machinery from March 2016 to July 2017, booking of allied items like base course-placing of PCC for median, breast and revetment walling, copping, weep wholes and back filling/filter media revision of PRW rates as per company assurances, book over cut quantities in real execution because the supervision and methodology was given by the HCC and there is no fault of sub contra, payment of sub contractors men and machinery hired by HCC during the flood/rainy seasons or otherwise from time to time and monthly payment should be fixed in the interest of quick progress of said project.
