KISHTWAR, Nov 12: Sunil Kumar Sharma, MoS, Govern-ment of Jammu and Kashmir, today inaugurated two days Free Eye and ENT camp by Dulhasti Power Station, Kishtwar under its Corporate Social Responsibi-lity, Sustainable Development programme of 2017-18.
The camp was inaugurated in presence of Head of the Power Station Yoginder Kotha, Dr Nisha Sharma, CMO and doctors of KLSM Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital, Udhampur. After welcome address by Satish Parihar, Yoginder Kotha highlighted the works being carried out by Dulhasti Power Station including the activities in the sector of health. While addressing the gathering, MoS Sunil Kumar Sharma appreciated the Head of the Power Station for the consistent initiatives of NHPC towards development of Kishtwar town and its periphery as well as the support being provided by Dulhasti Power Station for upgrading and uplifting the weaker section of the society. He also emphasized and appreciated the facilities extended in the health sector and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Two free eye camps were also conducted by Dulhasti Power Station, one each at Atholi, Goolgulabgarh (Paddar) and Chhatroo (Kishtwar), which were inaugurated by Sanjeev Rana, SDM, Goolgulabgarh and Dr Mohd Yaqoob, BMO, PHC, Chhatroo on November 10 and 11, respectively.
During the two- day camp at Project Chenab Hospital, Kishtwar, the identified patients for Cataract surgery shall be operated free of cost and patients having hearing problem shall be provided Hearing Aid and medicines etc free of cost. In addition, the patients hailing from the remote areas of Kishtwar district shall be provided free facilities of boarding and lodging. In total, 450 patients had been benefitted from these camps till noon.
