JAMMU, Mar 1: NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company has been conferred with “TAI Tunneling Project of the year award” by Tunneling Association of India for execution of tunnels in Kishanganga Hydroelectric Project in Jammu & Kashmir.
The award was presented during a grand function held at Mumbai on February 27. Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects), NHPC received the award on behalf of NHPC in presence of Tarcisio B Celestino, President, International Tunneling and Underground Space Association, Dr Jinxiu Jenny, Vice President, International Tunneling and Underground Space Association, Lt. General Suresh Sharma, Senior Vice President, Tunneling Association of India and VK Kanjlia, Secretary General, Tunneling Association of India. AK Singh, Executive Director (FNSHG) and Khalid Umar, General Manager (E / F) Kishanganga Power Station were also present on the prestigious occasion.
