JAMMU, June 23: NHM Employees of Health Department today observed one day token strike in support of their demands.
A large number of NHM employees of various Health Institutions of Jammu province assembled this morning at Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park in DHS Complex, Jammu and raised slogans in support of their demands which include proper policy for regularization of NHM employees, framing transfer policy for NHM employees, provision of other benefits like maternity leave and earned leave/Baby care leave for NHM Employees.
The protesting employees were also demanding enhancement of wages/incentives and timely payment of salaries.
Rohit Seth, district president, Jammu Kashmir NHM Employees Association, while addressing the NHM employees appealed the Government to consider their demands as early as possible as all the NHM employees are working round the clock, efficiently and honestly to increase the standards of Health Care.
Prominent among others who addressed the gathering were Rashmi, Taran Singh, Bharat Bhusahn, Mohd Saleem, Sandeep and Rajinder.
