JAMMU, July 9: One day convention of NHM employees of block Akhnoor was held today at Sub District Hospital Akhnoor.
Manjeet Singh, General Secretary JKGP Association and Rohit Seth, District President NHM Employees Association led the team.
The convention was attended by a large number of NHM employees and various issues related to cadre were discussed in detail. The demands that need immediate redressal include regularization policy, framing of transfer policy, benefit of maternity leave, earned leave and baby care leave should be given to NHM employees, enhancement of wages and incentives, timely release of salaries.
Later, block level body of NHM employees was re-organized to give strength to the existing one.
Ajay Seth has been elected as President, Reva Devi as Working President, Arun Singh as Senior Vice President, Ajay Sharma as Vice President, Keshav Gupta as General Secretary, Mohinder Singh as Joint Secretary, Ajay Sharma as Cashier, Rewa Sharma as Secretary, Rita Kumari as Publicity Secretary, Anju Devi as Organizer, Dr Rajinder Manhas, Dr Surbhi and Dr Swati as Advisors.
The convention was held on the directions of Sushil Sudam, President, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation.
