NGPPWF demands removal of pay anomaly

JAMMU, Oct 21: Non-Gazetted Police Pensioners Welfare Forum (NGPPWF) here today staged a protest demonstration demanding removal of pay anomaly.
Forum Chairman, Ajit Singh told reporters that pay anomaly existed in police department as in the year 1996 when the fifth pay commission was implemented across the State police department was left out.
He also said that various pay anomaly committees were formed after that but the entire process came out to be a ‘time killing exercise’.
Singh said that finance department had sought clarification from the Director General of Police regarding the pay anomaly who in response had informed that about Rs. 5, 93, 25, 000 should be released in favour of ASIs and HCs.
The protesters demanded release of the amount as soon as possible and also informed that they have also written to the Governor in this regard apart from meeting his Advisors.
