JAMMU, July 11: Though a number of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Missionary Homes have been claiming huge financial aides from the Central Governments, none of them has come forward to take a mentally deranged woman and her newly born child, who were forced to live in SMGS hospital for past several days.
Reports said a mentally deranged woman had delivered a baby on road near Rani Park on March 23. Police shifted both of them to hospital, where both of them recovered.
Reports said that the hospital authorities were now asking police to take the woman and the child, who have recovered. Police took up the matter with a number of NGOs and Missionary Homes but none of them were ready to take the woman and the child.
Authorities have decided to take up the matter with Government of India for cancellation of grant-in-aid of NGOs and Missionary Homes if they refused to take the possession of woman and her newly born child.
