BHADERWAH, May 8: To promote road safety and safe driving amongst two-wheeler riders, Bhaderwah Police along with NGO Yac took an important step to promote the adoption of road safety practices amongst motorcyclists and scooterists and distributed them free helmets with Police support at new Bus Stand Kotli.
The helmet distribution drive was also to encourage scooter and bike riders and to use certified helmets for increasing personal safety and reducing chances of injuries and fatalities in case of road accident.
The initiative was led by SP Bhaderwah, Vinod Sharma and ADC Bhaderwah, Sunil Kumar who extended strong support to the awareness and helmet distribution programme.
As a part of the initiative, Police sensitized over 100 attendees including two-wheeler riders while distributing free helmets to young commuters and low-income families who often lack access to proper protective gears.
