JAMMU, June 16: Non-Gazetted Employees Union, University of Jammu in collaboration with Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazddor Sangh who donated their one day salaries , organized a function to distribute the cheques to the flood effected people.
Prof R D Sharma, Vice-Chancellor was the chief guest who distributed cheques on the occasion. The function was attended by 51 presidents from all over the State and Central trade unions.
NGEU submitted a charter of demands regarding removal of pay scale of Rs 2750 to Minister of State Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, Arjun Ram Megwal, Member of Parliament, Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Education. They assured that their genuine demands will be deliberated.
Prem Kumar Daggar, National president, Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh has unanimously elected Vijay Kumar, president, NGEU as district president of Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh.
