JAMMU, July 17: A general body meeting of Non-Gazetted Agriculture Graduates Associ-ation (NGAGA) was held at Krishi Bhawan here under the chairmanship of its president Pardeep Sharma wherein the pivotal points of redressal were discussed and Government urged to remove stagnation of their cadre.
The members stressed for strengthening of its work output for the betterment of Agriculture graduates in general. They laid emphasis for the removal of long standing stagnation, the process for which has not even been initiated though a number of JAEOs have retired as on entry level causing distress to the remaining JAEOs, who are waiting for the decision of the Government to come in favour by removing stagnation.
The NGAGA has time and again requested the Government for redressing the issue but to of no avail. Though, the Government has been encouraging a system by providing additional charge to one officer which has been resented by the association and instead, it has urged the Government to follow One Man One Post policy to relieve the distress among the JAEOs by promoting them to the next higher post viz AEO as large number of posts are available for promotion.
Meanwhile, the general body of NGAGA resolved that since the tenure of the association (executive) has elapsed as under the constitution of NGAGA it stands dissolved with immediate effect, the such dissolved body would function as care taker till the formation of new body and for that election process would be initiated at the earliest.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Rajkesh Langer, ex-president NGAGA, V K Ambardar general secretary, Pardeep Anand, Neeraj Sharma, Arun Kumar, Durani, S Jatinder Singh and Ashwani Kumar.
