SRINAGAR, Feb 18 : A newly recruited militant was arrested during a security forces operation in Pulwama district of South Kashmir today.
Police said that based on specific information about the presence of militants, a joint operation was launched by police and Army’s 55 RR at Main Town in district Pulwama.
Police said that during the searches one youth identified as Vilayat Aziz Mir alias Rasik son of Abdul Aziz Mir of Banpora Kakapora was arrested along with a pistol and a grenade.
Vilayat was missing since January 15 and had joined the militant ranks.
