JAMMU, Oct 29: Demanding revocation of the controversial clause of SRO-202 (New Recruitment Policy), the newly appointed employees of all departments today held a protest demonstration.
Shouting slogans and carrying placards in support of their demand, the agitating employees appealed the Chief Minister to personally look into the matter and do justice with them.
In purview of the recruitment policy, SRO-202 was implemented in June 2015 but this new policy seemed to be unfair for the educated youth of the State.
As per the new recruitment rules by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir,  every new appointee shall be entitled  to the minimum pay scale along with grade pay (7000-8000) applicable to the post against which he is appointed. However, he shall be entitled to annual increment and all allowances (HRA, DA,CCA) only after successful completion of his/her five years service on consolidated salary.
“Considering the rising prices of essential commodities, it is appalling that the State Government has framed such a policy which is sheer injustice to the qualified youth of the State,” the protesters said and demanded immediate revocation of the controversial clause.
The protesters threatened to further intensify their struggle if the Government does not revoke the controversial SRO.
