JAMMU, Nov 13: A new born female baby was found from a sack lying at a lane here in Parade area.
According to the reports, on Saturday morning, people of Kali Jhanni in Parade area hear cries of a baby from a lane at Kalli Jhanni. While coming out in the lane they found the voice coming from a small sack lying there.
On opening the sack, people found a newly born female baby wrapped in some clothes in the sack. They immediately informed the police. On getting information, a police team from police post Parade led by Sub Inspector, Deepak Katoch, reached the spot and shifted the baby to Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital, Jammu.
According to Deepak Katoch, they have registered a case in this connection. He said that the baby is now under doctors’ observation at Neonatal ICU of the hospital and one of their constables is deployed there to provide security to the child.
According to Medical Superintendent, SMGS, Dr Dara Singh, the baby has been shifted to Neonatal ICU of the hospital and proper care is being given to her.
“Police is trying to trace the parents of the baby. The hospital will bear the cost on her care till the heirs of the baby are traced or till she is adopted by any couple”, he added.
