JAMMU, Sept 3: The installation ceremony of the new team of Rotary Club Jammu Aastha was held.
On the occasion, District Governor Dr Pawan Gupta was the chief guest, while Ashok Mittal, district secretary was the guest of honour.
The new team comprised of Amit Gupta as president, Ashok Gupta as vice president, Anoop Bhan as secretary, Surinder K Bansal as treasurer and Sumil Goyal as Seargent at Arms. Besides this, Deepak Sethi, Vipan Bhasin, Ajay Aggarwal, Sahil Chopra and Arvind Gupta were also installed as club directors.
Amit Gupta assured the chief guest cum installation officer of every effort to meet the standards of selfless services being maintained by my predecessors.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Gupta urged all the members to extend teamwork and also appreciated the role of the members of the club they have taken up for betterment of society.
The club has already started the year by undertaking various projects in a very short span of time, including dental check up camp and tree plantation drives. The club has also adopted a Government Girls School in Channi Himmat and is undertaking regular medical check up camps apart from meeting the needs of the students including stationery, uniforms, etc on regular basis.
