Sir,
This refers to the New Recruitment Policy framed under SRO 202 by the Jammu and Kashmir Government. This policy seems to be the charming tune for the policy makers but is a bitter pill to youth who feel betrayed and exploited after being selected for various Government jobs in the State.
The Recruitment policy was passed by the previous Government amid stiff resistance by unemployed youth of the State. The policy is aimed to utilise the services of unemployed youth at peanuts. This is not employment but exploitation of educated youth who are being denied a decent living by the Government.
Besides, the Government has created another source of corruption as the new employees have been put at the goodwill of their immediate officers. As per the guidelines of the policy, the official will get a permanent job only after the immediate boss writes a favourable report in favour of the employee.
The Government is requested to do away this recruitment policy and frame a new one in its place.
