JAMMU, Apr 11: Raising banner of revolt against the incumbent office bearers of the union, several oil tank drivers and cleaners have formed a parallel body under the name and style New Oil Tank Drivers and Cleaners Union.
According to a handout, S Amrik Singh has been unanimously elected as president of the new union while Ghulam Hassan, Ranjit Singh, Joginger Singh and Amrik Singh are its vice-president, general secretary, secretary and cashier respectively.
The new union office bearers vowed to work for the betterment of the drivers and cleaners and decided to extend full co-operation to the Government during the upcoming winter stocking season in the areas of Leh and Kargil.
