New history of J&K will be written after October 31: Chrungoo

SRINAGAR, Oct 12: BJP State spokesperson, incharge Kashmir Affairs, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, today termed the announcement of the Government to withdraw the tourist advisory that was issued in the first week of August 2019 a decision in right direction.
Talking to reporters here today, he said that it will open the other gates as well that are necessary to dilute the two month old unease in the Valley. He made it clear that the decision regarding restrictions imposed by the administration was to save the human lives in the State and particularly in the Kashmiri Valley. Jammu & Kashmir awaits Global Investment due in a short span of time.
Chrungoo appealed to the administration to consider allowing use of mobile phones without mobile data facility in the Valley. It may also allow use of Internet to the dedicated landlines of the media houses in the Valley with an assurance of accountability and responsibility.
Chrungoo while dealing the subject of the post abolition of Article 370 and Article 35-A scenario in J&K said that this decision of the BJP Government has set right the wrongs committed by the previous regimes right from the period of achievement of independence.
Those a few countries who have viewed the matters internal to India negatively and in a bad format need to keep their hands off Kashmir since they have no locus standi on the issue, he said.
He said that with effect from October 31, a new political history will be written which will be focused on establishment of peace, developmental issues and the correct political narrative about Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorism, secessionism, violence and religious fundamentalism will not be allowed to take the mainstream course and terror & terrorism will have to be finished in order to restore peace and development in the region.
Chrungoo also said that the issue of renovation and repairs of temples and shrines in Kashmir is also an issue on top of the agenda. The issue of temples in Kashmir Valley is a matter prelude to the resettlement of the Kashmiri Pandit community in the Valley keeping in view their aspirations regarding the subject. An appeal has already been made to the Governor for enactment of “Kashmir Temples & Shrines Bill” so that these historic places of worship and centers of culture and spirituality are protected.
