New Era Environmental School celebrates 35th Annual Day

JAMMU, Feb 2: New Era Environmental High School celebrated its 35th Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Function at Govt Polytechnic College Auditorium, here today.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director Industries and Commerce presided over the function.
The programme began with the lighting of ceremonial Lamp and floral tribute to late Dr Dhiraj Kumar Jain, Founder Trustee of the school followed by Ganesh Vandna.
Maitree Jain welcomed the guests and read out the Annual report.
Nursery class students’ presented the Jungle Song where as LKG class students enthralled the audience with their performance on the song ‘Tume hein itna sunder kisne banaya’.
2nd class students made the audience laugh on their presentation on ‘Aaj humari chutti hai kaam karenge Monday se’.
Items based on save environment included Swacch bharat ka irada by class 3rd Aam ke aam by class 5th and say no to plastic by class 10th were presented by the students.
Bhangra and other dancing items were presented by 7th, 8th and 9th class students.
The Mayor congratulated the school management and the students for good show, while Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma advised the students to work hard for achieving goals.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Prabha Jain, chairman of the School, eminent educationist ID Soni, Wg Commander MM Joshi and Sudesh Mahajan.
