JAMMU, June 5: Incharge Superintending Engineer, RTIC Jammu, Ajay Gupta has been appointed as Enquiry Officer to conduct de-novo enquiry on the Crime Branch allegation against Rohit Gupta, the then Incharge AEE, Irrigation and Flood Control Division and now Incharge Executive Engineer ERA, J&K.
According to an order in this regard, issued by the Jal Shakti Department, the Enquiry Officer shall submit the report along with specific recommendations by June 9 positively.
The Zonal Headquarters Crime Branch Jammu, vide communication number CBJ/Clt/J-178/2021/27766, dated 15-11-2021, had forwarded copy of a complaint submitted by Amit Kapoor to enquire into the matter in light of allegations leveled against Rohit Gupta. Following this, the then Incharge Superintending Engineer, Vijay Gupta was appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct de-novo Enquiry against Rohit Gupta.
As Vijay Gupta retired on February 28, 2022 without submitting the enquiry report, the case was again examined in the department and the Competent Authority decided to appoint afresh Inquiry Officer to complete the enquiry in the matter.
