JAMMU, Feb 2: Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today reiterated resolve of the Government for equitable development of all three regions and sub-regions of the State. He said setting up of new administrative units is a step forward in the direction to address development aspirations of the people and catapult socio-economic development in all nooks and corners of the State.
Tara Chand was addressing a large gathering of people from Pargwal and adjoining hilly and border areas.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the Coalition Government with active support of the Central Government has taken landmark decisions to make the administration responsive, transparent and pro-people.
Right to Information and Public Services Guarantee Act are landmark pro- people initiatives of the Government, he said, adding that strengthened Accountability Commission and Vigilance Commission would go a long way in checking the menace of corruption.
