Negligent hospital staff locks up patient

SRINAGAR, July 19: A woman today ended up locked at a hospital in Nowgam village of Bandipora’s Sonawari after she reached there for treatment.
As per details, the woman was experiencing vomiting and was admitted to an NTPHC situated in the village, being attended to by her mother-in-law.
But as the day neared its end, they found themselves locked in the hospital building with nobody from the hospital staff around.
The woman visited the hospital around 1 pm and was put on saline drip by the doctors, however, at around 3 pm, the staff had locked the hospital and headed home, leaving the patient and the attendant behind.
The locked up patient then had to call up her family who then reached the spot and protested against the negligent staff of the concerned NTPHC.
The concerned health officials told Excelsior that they are ascertaining the facts while assuring action against the staff.
Block Medical Officer, Hajin Dr Aijaz Ahmad said as he was on leave and ascertaining the facts regarding the incident.
