Sir,
Refer Sunday Magazine article ‘ Maharaja Gulab Singh’ in DE June 11.
The article made a nice reading. It was really something which most people do not know even in the Valley where these Samadhis lie in a State of ruin. One fails to understand why such places, buildings of historical importance have been left unattended. Rather these should have figured on the list of important places where visitors would like to visit during their sojourn in the Valley.
These buildings need to be renovated and opened for tourists and public. It will a great tribute to a man who has played an important role in formation of Jammu and Kashmir State.
The author deserves appreciation for highlighting an issue which had remained out of public gaze, and would have remained in a State of neglect forever. Hopefully, the issue will attract the attention its deserves.
Yours etc….
