JAMMU, Jan 21: The time is ripe to translate ‘Shradanjali’ into reality. Besides delivering lectures, writing books and organizing seminars to pay tribute to the martyrs, who have sacrificed their lives to save communities, cultures and the nation as a whole, the necessity is to inculcate ‘sanskars’ among the youth and go into the philosophy of the things and fight against the people with sinister designs, whose intentions are not only gruesome, brutal and barbaric, but satanic too.
This was stated by Minister of State for Transport, Agricultural Production and Youth Services and Sports while paying tributes to the martyrs of 1947-48 (‘Kabali’ Raid) in an impressive and well attended function at Sharda Bhawan, Sanjeevani Shardha Kendra, Anand Nagar, Bohri, here today.
The Minister said that more than courage and charisma, you need ‘vichar’, ‘karma’ and ‘sanaskaar’ to fight against the cultural invasion.
The Minister was the chief guest on the occasion, while MLC Ajay Bharti was the special invitee and Padmashree Dr KN Pandita was the main speaker. Social activist Yuvraj Gupta and secretary Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, DN Raina also accompanied the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier, MLC Ajay Bharti described 1990 exodus of Kashmiri Pandits as the culmination of the continuous onslaught on the community from the times immemorial.
Padamshree Dr KN Pandita threw light on the bravery of Brigadier Rajinder Singh and termed him as the savior of the community.
Giving details and idea of some incidents, Dr Pandita said the real history of massacres and brutality is still not known to a common man.
While quoting example of 1931 Mirpur Kotli massacre, social activist, Yuvraj Gupta spoke at length on barbaric designs of Pak invaders and anti national forces even before 1947.
Earlier, Dr Naveen Hakhu, Member Content Generation Team of Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra showed some videos of documentaries on atrocities on displaced community.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by social activist Radeysham Mussa.
