Need to defeat radicalization in Kashmir valley: Virender

JAMMU, Sept 10: BJP State Spokesperson Prof Virender Gupta today said that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has set at rest all the speculations about the certainty of the present PDP-BJP alliance Government by stating that she won’t be deterred or cowed down by the controversies being stirred deliberately by vested interests.
Ridiculing Dr Farooq Abdullah’s statement asking for holding dialogue between India and Pakistan to resolve Kashmir issue, Prof Virender said, “the National Conference leader should keep in mind that unrest is prevailing in Kashmir valley only because of Pakistan’s direct support to terrorism”.
“Kashmir is an internal problem of India and it has to resolve this issue itself”, the BJP Spokesperson said, adding “in view of prevailing situation in Kashmir valley no one can avoid the use of force to bring normalcy. He further said that Farooq Abdullah who remained Chief Minister of the State must know it better and Pakistan should have no concern with it.
Stating that present trouble in the valley is inspired by the ideology of Wahabi and Salafi movements and is aimed at converting Kashmir valley into an Islamic State independent of India, Prof Virender said, “those on the streets do not demand Great Autonomy or Plebiscite, their only slogan is Azad Islamic state”, adding “Government of India and all the political parties should put united efforts to counter this onslaught on Indian democracy”.
