JAMMU, Feb 20: Nami Dogri Sanstha organized musical programme `Ek Sham – Randhir Singh Raipuria Ke Naam’ at K L Saigal Hall, here.
The evening was composed by famous composer Dogra Harish Kaila, Suraj Singh and Manoj Bakshi. Former minister Ajay Sadhotra was chief guest on the occasion while V K Sambyal, Station Director, Radio Kashmir Jammu, was the guest of honour. Bodh Raj Bhagat, national vice-president, Bhagat Mahasabha was the special invitee. Capt Lalit Sharma , Convener, Nami Dogri Sanstha was the special guest while S S Anand Lehar, presided over the function,.
Randhir Singh Raipuria was felicitated by Nami Dogri Sanstha and presented with shawl and trophy by all the dignitaries. Ajay Sadhotra appreciated the songs of the writer Randhir Singh Raipuria who is a laughter and fun mannered Poet.
V K Sambyal shared the experiences with the audience while Bodh Raj Bhagat said that Art and Culture are our rich heritage and writers, singers, artistes play an important role in social progress.
S S Anand Lehar congratulated Randhir Singh Raipuria and Nami Dogri Sanstha. He said that musical evening was of great importance.
Yash Pal ‘Yash’ compered the programme in a very befitting manner and presented the vote of thanks. While Capt Lalit Sharma read welcome address. Dr Sunita Singh Bhadwal read a paper on Randhir Singh Raipuria.
Singres of the musicial evening, included Manoj Bakshi, Dr Chanchal Sharma, Vishal Gupta, S Harbans Singh and Pallavi. They were accompanied on Tabla by Joginder Pal, Guitar by Shivinder, Synth by Krishan Kumar Johny, Octopad by Lucky Sahil and Flute by Rakesh Anand.
Present on the occasion were; Prof Anupama Sharma, S K Jain, Sham Talib, Aaresh Om Dalmotra, Mohan Singh Jamwal, Ravi Razdan, Ramesh Rahi, Rakesh Sharma ‘Tript’, Som Raj Taroch, P L Parihar, Ashok Sharma and Ravi Abrol.
