JAMMU, Nov 15: Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) today organized “Ek Sham – Sanjay Vidrohi Ke Naam” composed by Suraj Singh at KL Sehgal Hall, Jammu.
DC Raina, former Advocate General, J&K, was the chief guest while Sohail Kazmi, veteran journalist and secretary general, Press Club of Jammu, was the special invitee. SK Kapoor, AGM, SBI, Jammu, was the special guest.
SS Anand Lehar, senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, presided over the function while Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, president, NDS and Prof Anupama Sharma, patron, Youth Wing, NDS, also shared the dais.
The programme started with the lightning of traditional lamp by all the dignitaries. Singers viz Sumit Bhardwaj, Rakesh Deol, Vandana, Karuna, Pallavi Koul, Sonia, Priya, Shabnam, Zulekha Farid, Ajay Bhagat, Gurjeet Singh, Sumant, Suraj Singh, Arun Singh, Amrit Kaur, Rohit Sharma, Sahil and Meenakshi Sharma recited songs penned by Sanjay Vidrohi.
Rajesh Kumar and Joginder Pal with Tabla, Sanjay Pashi with Guitar, Satish Lalotra with Dholak and Johny with Synth were also brilliant. Sanjay Vidrohi also recited few Dogri literary items.
The chief guest while speaking on the occasion appreciated the songs of Sanjay Vidrohi and compositions of Suraj Singh. He also appreciated the singers who sung the compositions in a beautiful manner. He further said that writers have big vision and bring their vision in black and white and the coming generations do take benefit from their knowledge and vision.
The programme was conducted by Yash Pal Yash, general secretary, NDS while Capt Lalit Sharma presented the vote of thanks.
