JAMMU, Aug 20: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) J&K has expressed resentment against the move of the government to privatization power sector in J&K.
In a handout J&K NDPI president, Rajesh Gupta said, Power Development Department (PDD) is being reconstituted in J&K into four State Public Sector Undertakings which will allow the private sector to intervene in department’s functioning and will also put the jobs of PDD employees at stake.
Gupta alleged that the Government is not clarifying about the future of employees after PDD is bifurcated between Union Territories of J&K, and Ladakh.
“It is estimated that about 31,000 employees will be affected by the decision of J&K government to reorganize the PDD,” he claimed.
