JAMMU, Sept 15: Nations Development Association (NDA) under the chairmanship of Sushil Singh Charak organised Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan at Bishnah, here today.
The programme is a part of the national campaign of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment across the country to ensure a reduction in drug demand and its abuse. Mubassir Latifi Ameer, Commandant IRP 15th Battalion was the chief guest on the occasion, while Nissar Ahmed Butt, State Director NYKS under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India, Dr Vinay Thusoo, Incharge Media and spokesperson Jammu University and SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh were the guests of honour.
Thakur Abhijeet Jasrotia, spokesperson, Incharge Policy and Research Wing of BJP was the main resource person who sensitized the civil society and target group about the campaign.
Station House Officer Bishnah Inspector Vikram Sharma and Director SIRAS School Bishnah, Yogesh Jandial were special guests, while Shivam Jandial conducted the proceedings of the event.
The chief guest Mubassir Latifi Ameer, Thakur Abhijeet Jasrotia, Nissar Ahmed Butt, Dr Vinay Thusoo and SDPO RS informed the students about the consequences of drugs.
Sushil Singh Charak said that these kinds of events will help the students and youth to understand the consequences of drug addiction, while Shivam Jandial, Chaten Verma, Vishal Sandhu and Madhu were also present on the occasion.
