Srinagar, May 19: Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Vijaya Rahatkar, along with Chairpersons of various State Women Commissions, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhavan on Monday.
During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor appreciated the efforts of the NCW towards women empowerment and strengthening justice delivery mechanisms for women across the country.
The meeting also discussed issues related to women’s welfare, safety and initiatives aimed at ensuring greater participation of women in social and developmental sectors.(KNC)
