JAMMU, Apr 11: A meeting of the State NCP’s newly elected provincial presidents, district presidents, constituency presidents , city presidents and Panchayat presidents was held under the chairmanship of former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh, NCP State chief, today.
In the meeting , the Central Election Authority of NCP appointed the senior NCP leader Krishan Kumar Digra as chairman, State Election Authority alongwith Prof G M Pal , R S Billowaria and Sandeep Manhas to conduct the State elections for the year 2015-2017 and has completed the party membership.
Digra in his report said that all relevant records including the membership and Central share of membership have been sent to Central office of NCP at New Delhi. Digra also disclosed that women, youth and highly educated retired officials from all communities have become office bearers of the party both in Jammu and Kashmir which is very encouraging. Digra said the office bearers of the party including State president NCP will be elected on April 26, 2015 at Jammu.
NCP chief further said that State leadership has decided to put up atleast 50% women and youth in the coming Municipal and Local Bodies elections in the State.
The meeting was attended by Kamal Gupta, Krishan Kumar Digra , Dr Liaquat Ali Magray, Prof G M Pal, Gulab Chand Bhagat, Bansi Lal Sodhi, R S Billowaria, Gourav Kapoor, Sandeep Manhas, Abhimanyu Pratap Singh, Amit Singh Dutta, Ch Dev Raj, Zahid Bashir,Col Amar Singh, Aijaz Hussain Naik, Tariq Nar, R C Bali, Onkar Singh, Mittar Pal Singh, Dr Dewan Chand Bassan, Saudagar Mal Meenia, Abhay Singh Chouhan, Arjun Singh Bhau, Anchal Kumar, Ramesh Lal, Surjit Manhas, Ranjit Singh, Akhil Jamwal, Mankush and others.
